Motion to Reconsider

A request asking USCIS or an immigration court to revisit a decision based on legal error.

A motion to reconsider argues that the prior decision misapplied the law or misread the record at the time it was made — no new facts. Like motions to reopen, it is filed on Form I-290B or with EOIR.
