About the two charts. Each month the State Department publishes two charts: Final Action Dates (when a green card can actually be issued) and Dates for Filing (when you can submit your adjustment application). Priority date current but I-485 still pending?

A current priority date can let you file or approve, depending on the chart and timing. It does not always mean instant approval, and retrogression can pause a pending case.
