About the two charts. Each month the State Department publishes two charts: Final Action Dates (when a green card can actually be issued) and Dates for Filing (when you can submit your adjustment application). USCIS decides each month which chart to accept for Adjustment of Status filings. Confirm the current month's choice at uscis.gov/visabulletininfo.

Common question

Priority date current but I-485 still pending?

A current priority date can let you file or approve, depending on the chart and timing. It does not always mean instant approval, and retrogression can pause a pending case.
