Board of Immigration Appeals
Also: BIA
The highest administrative body for interpreting and applying U.S. immigration laws.
The BIA is part of the Executive Office for Immigration Review (EOIR) within the Department of Justice. It reviews decisions of immigration judges and certain DHS decisions. Most BIA precedent decisions become binding nationally.
