Family-based first preference: unmarried sons and daughters (21+) of U.S. citizens.
F1 covers adult (21 or older), unmarried sons and daughters of U.S. citizens. It is one of the most backlogged family categories because adult unmarried children of citizens were historically subject to long waits.
