CBP record of a noncitizen's admission and authorized period of stay in the U.S.

The I-94 is created at the port of entry and shows the class of admission, the date of admission, and the "admit until" date. Most I-94s are now electronic and can be retrieved at i94.cbp.dhs.gov. Status is governed by the I-94, not the visa stamp.
